Tammi Neblock – 4th Degree Black Belt

I moved to Washington from Colorado in 1987. My husband, Charles, and I live in Hockinson. My sons, Stewart and Jacob, live in Vancouver. I enjoy reading, playing golf and the outdoors. Oh, and of course . . . martial arts! I have one dog named Angus who provides endless hours of entertainment and companionship.

I have worked at the City of Vancouver since 1988. They hired me three times and I am currently a Code Enforcement Officer. It has been both challenging and rewarding.

I came to Whole Armor Martial Arts in 2001. My sons wanted to take karate classes and I was very excited when I found a Christian based school. My husband stated that I had to go with them. At first, I thought “No way, I am not taking Karate classes”. But when he insisted I go with the kids, I finally agreed. We signed up in July 2001, and I am still here, amazingly enough as a 4th Degree Black Belt.

Not only has WAMA provided physical self-defense training, but has also provided training on my spiritual journey. Since coming to Whole Armor, I have been challenged to read my Bible through every year. That practice has made a huge impact on my life and has been one of the single most important decisions I have ever made. The journey has been the most amazing blessing that God has ever granted to me. I teach Women’s Self-Defense classes, have the honor of teaching the Friday evening class and look forward to being a part of the Whole Armor family for many years to come.
